Lions scored 11 times against Brady B

There were two shocks in Division One, while Lions scored 11 goals in Division Two, writes Jeremy Silverstone

There were surprise results in both games as the two teams in the bottom two places overcame the top two.

Goals from Gideon Barnett and Darren Lewis gave Brady A their first win of the season, as they beat leaders Scrabble 2-1. Andy Miller replied for Scrabble.

Southgate Harmen inflicted a first defeat of the season on North London Raiders as two goals from Lloyd Becker, along with strikes from Alex Bourne and James Temple – with a superb strike just after coming on as substitute, running onto a pass, taking one touch to flick the ball up and firing it over the goalkeeper from about 30 yards – giving them a 4-0 win.

Hendon Harriers beat Marshside 4-0 thanks to James Ryan’s double, and strikes from Paul Herszaft and Adam Greenblatt.

Meanwhile, Glenthorne A and London Maccabi Lions are setting the pace in Division Two, with the Lions demolishing Brady B 11-0 thanks to hat-tricks from Simon Barr, Bradley Lazarus and Michael Abraham. Darren Young and David Price completed the scoring.

Glenthorne A remain top of the table after Gary Adams netted a double in their 4-0 win over EDRS. Greg Morris and Sid Shaw were also on target in their fourth straight win, during which they are yet to concede a goal.
