Singing comedian Rosalyn Miller was crowned winner of Jews Got Talent 2020 last Sunday. Held at the Radlett Centre and presented by the Hebrew Order of David in aid of Jewish Care, nine acts aged nine to 69 wowed the judges – which included impressionist Francine Lewis and Jewish News editor Richard Ferrer – and host Ivor Baddiel. Rosalyn’s hilarious song Find Yourself a Husband, Please! took home the top prize.

Rosalyn, 34, who is a member of Barnet United Synagogue and a GP by trade, had written the winning comedy song, accompanying herself on the piano.

Before the competition, Rosalyn had said that she would live to win, but “mainly I hope people will enjoy my performance”.

This year’s judges included Harvey Goldsmith CBE, who has worked with major artists including Queen, Elton John, U2, Madonna and The Rolling Stones; Geoff Posner, producer and director of TV hit series Little Britain and Come Fly With Me; impressionist Francine Lewis, a former Britain’s Got Talent finalist and Jewish News editor, Richard Ferrer.

The evening was compered by Ivor Baddiel, who has written for numerous entertainment shows including The X Factor and Mock the Week, and frequently writes for awards shows such as the BAFTA Film Awards and the National Television Awards.

The Jews Got Talent final raised £3,000 for charity.

Stuart Stepsky, Founder and Host of Jews Got Talent, said: “The final of Jews Got Talent was a fantastic night, with magnificent acts and exceptional judges. We’re so grateful to everyone who took part and attended. Once again, Jews Got Talent was a runaway success!”

Commenting on the evening, Ivor Baddiel said: “It’s such a pleasure to see the array of talent in the show, any one of them would be a deserving winner.”

Rosalyn Miller, winner of Jews Got Talent 2020 said: “I was incredibly surprised and pleased to win Jews Got Talent 2020, especially since there were so many wonderful other competitors. I want to thank the judges and the audience for their support, as well as Jewish Care and the Hebrew Order of David for organising such a great event. I’m currently in the process of launching an EP and writing a musical, and am looking to performing for wider audiences both within the Jewish community and beyond- please do be in touch via my RosalynMusic Facebook page if you’d like to hear and see more of me!”
