Netflix unveils trailer for 1960s espionage thriller starring Sacha Baron Cohen
The actor stars alongside Noah Emmerich, Hadar Ratzon Rotem and Alexander Siddig in the six-episode mini series
Netflix has unveiled the first trailer for a new 1960s espionage drama out next month starring Sacha Baron Cohen as an Israeli spy leading a double life inside Syria.
Baron Cohen takes centre stage in ‘The Spy’, a mini-series to stream on Netflix from September 6, which tells the real-life story of Eli Cohen, a Tel Aviv clerk enlisted by Mossad to infiltrate the Syrian government.
The actor stars alongside Noah Emmerich, known for his role in The Americans, Hadar Ratzon Rotem and Alexander Siddig in the six-episode series, written and directed by Homeland’s Emmy award winner Gideon Raff.
The trailer, released on Wednesday, shows the actor known for personas such as Ali G and Bruno, in a starker context as he struggles to juggle dual identities.
