Met running sessions on teen safety in Jewish schools

Police will hold series of sessions in conjunction with Partnerships for Jewish Schools, promoting well-being online and on the streets

Officers from the Metropolitan Police are running a series of parental awareness evenings focusing on teen safety in Jewish schools, starting this week.

The evenings, which are being run in conjunction with Partnerships for Jewish Schools (PaJeS), the umbrella organisation for Jewish schools in the UK, will begin on Wednesday evening at Immanuel College in Bushey.

There are a further three events planned for November, and parents of teenage children who have concerns or questions are invited.

The evenings are expected to cover an array of topics, including online safety as well as staying safe on the streets. Among the Met’s useful tips is to always face oncoming traffic when walking on the pavement, “as it will make it far more difficult for thieves on two wheelers to ride up behind you and snatch your property”.
