Pioneering

In the first collaboration between media outlets from different faiths, Jewish News worked with British Muslim TV and Church Times to produce a list of young activists leading the way on interfaith understanding.

Campaigning

Royal Mail issued a stamp honouring Holocaust hero Sir Nicholas Winton after a Jewish News campaign attracted more than 100,000 backers. Jewish Newsalso produces special editions of the paper highlighting pressing issues including mental health and Holocaust remembrance.

Students celebrate their results

The Kantor King Solomon High School has hailed “a fantastic set” of results as reflecting the hard work and effort of students despite the pandemic.

Overall, 81% grades were 4-9 with 27% at 7-9. 77% students achieved five 4-9 grades including English and Maths.

Particularly strong results were seen in English Language with 90% 4-9, Computer Science with 95% 4-9 and Religious Studies with 92% 4-9 and 37% 7-9 grades.

“I’m so proud of the great achievements of all our students despite the challenges and uncertainties of the pandemic,” said headteacher Hannele Reece. 

“Congratulations to all our students and the team of staff that supported them in achieving these wonderful results. 

“I wish all our students the very best in their next steps and look forward to welcoming many of Year 11 back to begin the next stage of their journey.”
