YouTube has paid a British neo-Nazi who posted white supremacist material over £7,000, reports claim.

Former British National Party official Mark Collett, who has praised Adolf Hitler, has earned £7,265 from 36 videos, the news agency Storyful reported.

Collett earned the money from people paying to post comments on his YouTube videos, The Jewish Chronicle reported Tuesday.

Material shared by Collett included livestreamed conversations with ex-Ku Klux Klan grand wizard David Duke and white nationalist Richard Spencer

Collett previously served as publicity director for British National Party, but was suspended in 2010 after he was arrested for threatening to kill its leader.

A spokesperson for YouTube told the JC the video sharing platform works “hard to remove content that violates our policies quickly.”

The spokesperson said that profit made from “abusive” content would be donated to charity and that Collett’s channel had been blocked from earning ad or commenting revenue. The spokesperson did not respond when asked if the site would suspend Collett’s account.
