Boris Johnson has apologised to Israeli energy minister Karine Elharrar in person after she failed to gain access to the Cop 26 climate summit on Monday because of a failure to accomodate her wheelchair.
The Prime Minister met with Elharrar inside the conference venue in Glasgow on Tuesday where he was photographed in conversation with her alongside Israeli PM Naftalie Bennett.
Johnson said: “I gather there was some confusion with the arrangements yesterday. I’m very, very sorry about that.”
Foreign Office minister James Cleverly earlier said he was “deeply disappointed and frustrated” that Ms Elharrar could not access Cop26.
