Tomer Hemed enjoyed a dream debut for his new side as his first half strike saw QPR to a 1-0 win over Wigan.
The Israeli striker only joined the struggling Championship side on loan from Brighton on Thursday, though took just 35 minutes to make his mark, when he hooked the ball home from close-range.
Taking to Facebook after the match, he said: “What an amazing feeling, thank god. Happy for the victory, the goal and the dream opening.
“Delighted with my first goal in a QPR FC shirt! Great shift from the team to get the first win. Thanks to the fans for the warm welcome!”
