Theresa May will be the guest speaker at the UJIA Israel 70 Anniversary Dinner on Monday night.

The Prime Minister will address more than eight hundred supporters of the charity, of all ages from across the Jewish community.

In an evening themed by seventy years since the founding of the State of Israel, the Dinner will celebrate Israel’s achievements and look forward to Israel’s aspirations in building a shared society.

Communal leaders and distinguished guests, including HE Ambassador Mark Regev and Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis are expected, while Rabbi Laura Janner-Klausner of Reform Judaism, Rabbi Jonathan Wittenberg of Masorti, Rabbi Joseph Dweck of the Spanish & Portuguese communities, and Rabbi Danny Rich of Liberal Judaism, will also attend. The evening is sponsored by Currency UK and Israel Bonds.

UJIA Chief Executive Michael Wegier said: “We are honoured to welcome Prime Minister Theresa May for the Israel 70 Anniversary Dinner, which will celebrate Israel’s achievements and look to the future. We are privileged that in the context of growing public hostility towards Israel and antisemitism here, and a challenging summer both here in the UK and in Israel, Prime Minister Theresa May will demonstrate her unwavering support for the Jewish community.”
