A Labour councillor suspended over anti-Semitic posts on Facebook, has admitted he did publish articles himself after initially claiming it wasn’t him.

Cllr Damien Enticott shared a video on his personal Facebook profile headlined “Jewish Ritual – They drink blood and suck baby’s [sic] d***”” – adding to the video that Jews “need executing”.

Above the video shared from the “Black Pride” page, the local official in  Hatherleigh Ward, Bognor Regis, added text referring to ‘Talmud Jews’, saying they  “are parasites” who “believe any child over 3 years old that isn’t a Jew should be treated like a parasite”.

He said Jews “believe it is okay to even rape that child because it’s is [sic] worthless. To treat a non Jew decently means that you are as bad as them. All Talmuds need executing!”

Cllr Damien Enticott’s initial post

After Labour confirmed Enticott was suspended, he told HuffPost,  it was not posted by him: “It’s someone in my house that has accessed it and thinks its funny.”

However, this week he took to Facebook saying: “I do accept that I posted all the articles in question and that I was confused as to what the papers were asking me about on the phone”.

It also emerged on social media, that he had a history of anti-Semitic posts on Facebook. He once published a post saying: “Hitler would have the solution to the Israeli problem”, while another said “Theresa May is the only Nazi who couldn’t get the trains to run on time.”

Enticott responded to the post about Hitler, saying it was posted “out of frustration at seeing unarmed civilians being shot by Israeli soldiers and I did write that one cure for this would have been Hittler [sic]. I do not believe any form of genocide is appropriate… the comment again was made out of frustration at what the Isreali [sic] government have been doing for years.

“I am anti Zionist not anti semantic [sic].”

Damien’s latest post attempting to clear up his posts

Enticott says he believes Labour will “do the right thing and reinstate me” and adds that he will “not be attending any courses if requested to do so”, before outlining that he intends to “continue on the Bognor Regis Town Council independently” if expelled by the party.

The Council said on Monday it does “not support” his views and “will investigate allegations further with appropriate actions taken where necessary.

A Labour spokesperson said the party “takes all complaints of antisemitism extremely seriously and we are committed to challenging and campaigning against it in all its forms. Complaints about antisemitism are fully investigated in line with our rules and procedures and any appropriate disciplinary action is taken.”
