Britney Spears is latest celebrity to back #Spit4Mum campaign
Well known figures have joined the search for a a stem cell donor to save Sharon Berger
A Kenton mother desperately seeking a stem cell donor to save her life received more celebrity support, with pop star Britney Spears lending her backing.
The American singer joined figures such as Matt Lucas, Sharon Osbourne and London Mayor Sadiq Khan, who have thrown their weight behind the family’s desperate drive for people to register.
Also joining the campaign were boyband Blue, TV star Jamie Laing, Bear Grylls, Jeremy Kyle and Arlene Phillips, who have all shared the #Spit4Mum initiative online.
Sharon, 65, who is undergoing chemotherapy in Hammersmith Hospital, heard how stars were backing the latest #Spit4Mum push, orchestrated by her son Jonni and daughter Caroline.
Anthony Nolan Trust, the blood cancer charity, are encouraging online registration, after Sharon’s Acute Myeloid Leukaemia re-surfaced earlier this month, after an anonymous donation seemed to have set her on the road to recovery.
