Tony Milch’s first title fight, due to take place on Saturday night, was postponed after a fatal stabbing took place outside Bethnal Green tube station late on Friday night.

Witnesses claim violence started during a boxing event at York Hall before spilling into the street, which resulted in the victim being stabbed to death outside the east London station.

With a murder hunt underway, police closed the centre while they carry out their investigation, which is set to reopen on Monday.

Milch’s fight will now take place this coming Saturday evening, with tickets purchased for the scheduled first date, being carried over to next week.
