Dean Caplin (Oakwood B) – A clean sheet, which came as a result of him producing a few decent saves when the game was still in the balance

Ryan Cole (Fairlop FC) – Defensively as solid as you get, nothing got past him and he was spotted on numerous occasions motoring down left wing
Ben Lauffer (Hendon United) – Returned to the team and showed all his class. Great on the ball, reads the game so well and along with Greg Corin, gave Brady no chances
Joel Barnett (Los Blancos) – Player-manager was first to every 50/50 and possessed an aura of calmness to Blancos which allowed them to win the tie
Ben Kon (Hendon United) – Didn’t put a foot wrong. A fantastically gifted player, manager says it’s “a pleasure to see him back playing for Hendon”

Matt Berkeley (Fairlop FC) – Absolutely magnificent throughout. Skilful throughout, was a bag of tricks throughout and a joy to watch
Joe Metliss (Real Hendon) – Stole the show for the Bees, controlled the game and was integral in their win
Ben Winters (Maccabi London Lions Blue) – Gave another tireless performance and rewarded by scoring an absolute worldie to tie the game 2-2 with ten minutes to play
Dan Ash (Oakwood B) – Described as being sensational on the right wing, knocked the ball about really well, beat his winger repeatedly and missed his customary chances

Oli Sade (Los Blancos) – His trickery, finishing and tireless running tied the Raiders back line in knots, was simply unplayable today and scored a Messi-esque goal!
Sam Hammerton (Maccabi London Lions White) – Superb performance up front, which was deservedly capped off by a goal

Joel Barnett (Los Blancos)

Ben Lauffer (Hendon United)

Help perform the greatest mitzvah: save a life

While life in Israel has returned to normal and hopes are high that Britain is set for a summer without restrictions thanks to vaccines, for billions around the world there is no such imminent light at the end of the tunnel. In the majority of countries around the globe, particularly the poorest, the vaccine rollout has barely kicked off.

That's why Jewish News, the leading source of news and opinion for the entire UK community, is throwing its full weight behind UNICEF’s VaccinAid campaign by using this platform usually reserved for encouraging donations towards our own journalism to instead urge our readers around the globe to perform the greatest mitzvah: saving a life.

We have never before done this for any charity fundraiser but it's hard to recall a campaign that affects so many people, and indeed an entire planet aching for a return to normality. Just like the Chief Rabbi and Rachel Riley, we hope to boost the mission to deliver two billion vaccines, 165 million treatments and 900 million test kits around the world by the end of this year.

Please donate as much as you can, in the spirit of the Talmudic sages: “to save one life is to save the world entire”
