An event at Mill Hill United Synagogue last week saw Israeli Ambassador Mark Regev join LBC Radio host Nick Ferrari discussing world affairs to raise money for an Israeli charity helping families with disabled children.

During the event, at which Ferrari said he would be visiting Israel for the first time this September, the 350 guests were told about the work of the Malki Foundation, which helps Jewish, Muslim, Druze and Christian families.

Malki Foundation UK chair Geoff Hartnell said there is currently a waiting list of more than fifty children from every part of Israel society, adding: “Tonight’s event amounts to a very fine kick-start to the charity’s UK Million Shekel Campaign.”

Ferrari and Regev chewed the cud on topics ranging from Jeremy Corbyn, Brexit, Donald Trump, Hamas and “what makes Israel so special,” with Regev praising the charity’s work “empowering children with severe disabilities”.
