All grassroots football has been suspended by the community’s sporting body, Maccabi GB.
The news comes after the coronavirus outbreak decimated the national sporting schedule, with the suspension of the Premier League until April 3. The Football Association recommended “all grassroots football in England is postponed for the foreseeable future”.
Maccabi said: “These are challenging times for everyone and we hope that this unprecedented situation will subside and that we will soon all be able to resume normal life and activities.”
It is also “looking at a number of ways to keep the community fit and well both physically and mentally whilst at home.”
