Israelis visit Kiev for tech summit

Ukrainian Israeli Innovation Summit featured more than 70 companies and 600 participants as speakers discussed bilateral cooperation and using tech to solve modern problems

 Hundreds of Israelis from the world of technology descended on the Ukrainian capital Kiev last week, bringing together investors and start-ups over three days.

The Ukrainian Israeli Innovation Summit featured more than 70 companies and 600 participants as speakers discussed Israeli-Ukrainian cooperation as well as ways in which technology can solve modern-day problems.

Of particular interest was a focus on the disruption technological innovation is foisting on the transport and mobility sector, and the way artificial intelligence and machine-learning is changing industries.

Speakers included venture capitalists, industry leaders and government representatives, including Israel’s chief scientist, Dr Ami Appelbaum.
