In pictures: Work Avenue is the business!
Help 2,000 people into work and you potentially affect 2,000 families, multiplying the impact well beyond the Jewish community. That was the message from those opening Work Avenue’s now Finchley base.
The multi-million pound Wohl Enterprise Hub, which will support fledgling ventures, create new businesses and help people find employment, was a “modern and stylish place to work and,” said MP Mike Freer. “Work Avenue is about helping fulfil potential,” said Professor David Latchman of the Maurice Wohl Charitable Foundation.
Work Avenue boss Shraga Zaltzman added: “Our aim is to create a go-to place for the entire community.”

Pioneering
In the first collaboration between media outlets from different faiths, Jewish News worked with British Muslim TV and Church Times to produce a list of young activists leading the way on interfaith understanding.
Campaigning
Royal Mail issued a stamp honouring Holocaust hero Sir Nicholas Winton after a Jewish News campaign attracted more than 100,000 backers. Jewish Newsalso produces special editions of the paper highlighting pressing issues including mental health and Holocaust remembrance.
