Human Resources Assistant

Three days per week • Term time only plus four weeks
Required for September 2021 or earlier

The Role: We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, customer-focused HR specialist to join our small and friendly hard working team. Your key responsibility will be maintenance and oversight of our Single Central Register (SCR). Alongside this, you will be involved in a broad range of administrative functions so excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise are essential. Prior experience of using databases, a strong working knowledge of MS Office and a sense of humour are key to this role!

The School: We are a highly successful, modern orthodox, co-educational, independent Jewish day school, characterised by exceptional academic standards, outstanding pastoral care and a renowned programme of Jewish study. We recently were assessed as “excellent” by ISI in July 2019 and achieved outstanding public exam results last Summer. We enjoy an environment of happy, fulfilled young people, fully engaged in the life of the school community, aspirational and committed to their studies.

Pioneering

In the first collaboration between media outlets from different faiths, Jewish News worked with British Muslim TV and Church Times to produce a list of young activists leading the way on interfaith understanding.

Campaigning

Royal Mail issued a stamp honouring Holocaust hero Sir Nicholas Winton after a Jewish News campaign attracted more than 100,000 backers. Jewish Newsalso produces special editions of the paper highlighting pressing issues including mental health and Holocaust remembrance.
