We are looking for teachers who approach Jewish studies with enthusiasm and expertise.

We want to recognise originality and innovation, and will be looking for teachers who have incorporated new strategies and techniques to encourage students to work or think in different ways. The feedback might be delivered to students under a new format or the assessment methods might encourage students to work in a new, interesting way.

We will be looking for more than just good teaching practice. We are looking for teachers whose original ideas are helping children to achieve even higher standards in the classroom. We would also like to recognise activities that promotes cross curricular activities, and the integration of Jewish studies into the wider curriculum.

In particular, we are interested in seeing teaching that inspires children and embeds a lifelong love of Judaism.

Innovation in the use of ICT in the classroom (2 Awards, 1 Primary and 1 Secondary)

We are looking for a teacher who continuously improves their teaching through the exploration of creative applications and the effective use of technology in the classroom.

The teacher will have integrated the latest developments of ICT into their lessons so as to enhance the curriculum and engage their students.

This award will recognise a teacher who integrates new forms of technology into lessons so as to that facilitate effective learning or improvements in the educational environment of the students.

Outstanding and inspirational leadership (2 Awards, 1 Primary and 1 Secondary)

We are looking for an exceptional member of teaching staff who shows outstanding leadership skills, effectively engaging and inspiring students or staff within the context of the classroom and across the school as whole.

This may be a teacher, senior leader or Headteacher who is stimulating, enthusiastic and inspirational. By participating in shared decision making and community building they contribute to the vitality and self-renewal of their school.

We are looking to recognise someone who has a vision for the students and staff and not only enables them to progress but provides them with the tools to achieve things independently as well.

The work of this teacher should have effected positive change or improvement in a key area of the school and will have had transformative impact on the student learning experience.
