Former Chief Rabbi Lord Sacks has been awarded a National Jewish Book Award for his latest publication ‘Not In God’s Name’.
Exploring the nature of violence in the name of religion, he took the prize in the ‘Modern Jewish Thought’ category.
‘Not in God’s name: Confronting religious violence’, was published in June, and is Lord Sacks’ fifth national book award.
The awards are the longest-running North-American awards programme in the field of Jewish literature.
The winners of the 2015 National Jewish Book Awards will be honored at a gala awards celebration at the Center for Jewish History in New York City in March 2016.
