GOALKEEPER
Max Shields (Harmen) – May have conceded six goals, but also produced a host of other top saves to keep score down

DEFENCE
David Domb (North London Raiders C) – Took the captain’s armband, won his tackles, got forward and helped his team keep a clean sheet and secure third spot
James Korn (FC Team B) – Solid at the heart of the FC Team defence, strong both defensively and offensively
Jake Weiner (FC Team B) – The second part of strong duo at the back for Team, integral to keeping clean sheet against the O’s
Jono Rochwerger (North London Raiders A) – Gave a brilliant performance, capped with a stunning goal. All- round defending, particularly in the first half was exceptional

MIDFIELD:
Jordan Marks (North London Raiders A) – One of the most hardworking players in the team. When side were down to ten men, effectively played left wing and centre forward
Yossi Goldberg (Real Hendon) – Was once again immense in the middle of the park for Real Hendon as they chase a top-four place
Craig Cole (Faithfold C) – Brilliant for the Greens in midfield, a starring performance in ten-goal thrashing over Fortune

ATTACK:
Jamie Kent (Faithfold C) – Simply unplayable up front, scored four as he produced the perfect striker’s performance
David Dinkin (North London Raiders A) – A shining example to his teammates, was selfless and committed and scored another two goals
Craig Sandford (Redbridge B) – Bagged a hat-trick as Redbridge got MGBSFL/Masters Invitational competition off to a flying start

Campaigning

Royal Mail issued a stamp honouring Holocaust hero Sir Nicholas Winton after a Jewish News campaign attracted more than 100,000 backers. Jewish Newsalso produces special editions of the paper highlighting pressing issues including mental health and Holocaust remembrance.
