KIDSWEB1The opening day of action in the Jewish News Maccabi Junior Football League saw plenty of goals scored across all the age group.

Alyth’s two sides enjoyed comfortable wins, as Alyth Belsize Black beat NWLJ 3-1 thanks to a Sammy Kebede hat-trick. Alyth Belsize Red beat HMH Tel Aviv 3-0, with Rudy Berman, Zac Paul and an own goal seeing them to the points.

There were also two wins for Hendon United’s clubs. Hendon United Blue beat HMH Eilat 3-1, for whom Ruben Nourmand scored, while Hendon United Red came were 1-0 victors over Brady Maccabi.

HMH had five teams in action, three of whom were victorious.

Two goals each from Toby Marks and Charlie Kafton, along with Gabriel Chebabo-Manning’s strike saw HMH Negev beat Brady Maccabi Blue 5-0.

HMH Eilat beat Hendon United Blue 5-0, which saw Saul Norton claim a hat-trick and David Noik and Reuben Gordon also on target.

HMH Netanya beat Alyth Belsize 5-1. Carlo Madar scored twice, with Saul Gotkine, Joe Sinclair and Ethan Young also on target. Nadav Jacobs scored Alyth’s consolation. HMH Tiberias drew 2-2 with NWLJ, Noah Lazarus scored for HMH, while Brady Maccabi White beat HMH Jaffa 3-0.

In the division’s other game – an inter-Hendon club match – Hendon United White beat Hendon United Green 5-3.
