Familiarising yourself with a host of Ferraris, McLarens, Lamborghinis, Aston Martins, Porsches and Bentleys at a Monte Carlo rally before retiring to your suite at the Fairmont Hotel? That was how a selection of British Jews chose to spend three days last week, helping raise over £350,000 for charity Chana, which supports couples who face the challenge of infertility.
The participants in this year’s annual Chana Car Rally came from London, Manchester, Zurich, Jerusalem, New York, Los Angeles and Johannesburg.
After a day’s driving enjoyed a gala dinner at the end of the pier in Cap D’Ail, strolling through a vintage car museum en route, before listening to inspirational speaker Rabbi B. Z. Weisz.
The rally made a record amount for Chana – a good feeling enhanced by a saxophonist serenading guests as the sun set over the roof-top pool.
