Julia Glushko’s hopes of reaching the main draw of this year’s French Open were ended on Thursday after she was beaten in her second round qualifier.

Winning the first set against her Belgian opponent, Elise Mertens, on a tie-break, she then lost the second and third, 6-2, 6-1.

Her defeat means Dudi Sela will be the only Israeli in the main draw of the second Grand Slam event of the year, which begins on Sunday.
