GB bowlers line up at UK Nationals
Maccabi GB Tenpin Bowling were represented at the UK National Championships at the weekend, as ten bowlers took part in the country’s premier tenpin bowling event.
Veterans Paul Hart, Teddy Littner, Richard Da Costa, Darren Sassienie, Matt Plax, Brad Mervish and Team Maccabi GB Tenpin Bowling Sports Chair Russ Snipper, were all in action at the City Pavilion Bowling Alley in Romford, along with relative newcomers Charlie Sassienie, Jake Ayers and Craig Grant.
Hart in particular impressed, ending the day second in the singles competition in his division, a performance which may also earn him a place in the All Events
Snipper said: “It’s always a pleasure, and a challenge, to enter the Nationals. Whilst we may not all have bowled as well as we would have liked, the team spirit was fantastic.
“The camaraderie that was on show is evident every week in the Maccabi League.”
This year’s annual MGB Tenpin Bowling Tournament on 22 June at the Airport Bowl will also double up as being the sole trial for all bowlers wishing to be considered for the European Maccabi Games 2015 in Berlin next year.
