A shopping centre in the heart of Jewish London has vowed to take “swift action” to remove a swastika, found last Wednesday.

The Broadwalk Centre in Edgware covered up the offensive symbol temporarily, and will replace the panel it is etched onto “as soon as possible” to fully remove it.

Speaking to Jewish News, a spokesperson for the centre, said they “were shocked and dismayed” to find the swastika.

“The symbol in question was etched into a panel which we have completely and securely covered with a wooden board and we will replace the panel itself as soon as possible.”

“We will not accept any form of vandalism in the centre. Anyone caught will be banned from the centre and will be reported to the police.”
