British comic and actor Sacha Baron Cohen has stormed out on a film in which he was playing Freddie Mercury after ‘creative differences’ with the late singer’s band Queen.

Cohen, who bears a striking resemblance to the iconic former frontman, quit after a clash of ideas on how to depict the moustachioed star.

The Jewish creator of comedy TV characters such as Ali G and Borat, Cohen had reportedly wanted to portray the flamboyant Mercury as leading a salacious lifestyle, whereas surviving band members were supposedly keen on a more family-friendly vision. Mercury famously died of an AIDS-related illness in 1991.
