The formation of new Governments in Britain and Israel comes at a critical juncture for policy-making in the Middle East. Against this backdrop, the Jewish News is organising its inaugural UK-Israel shared strategic challenges conference.

The full-day event in Westminster – in partnership with BICOM and with the participation of World Jewish Congress, Israel Channel 10 TV and The Algemeiner – will provide a platform for in-depth discussion and debate involving leading policy-makers and experts.

The presence of Israeli Vice Prime Minister Silvan Shalom, Opposition Leader Isaac Herzog and Yesh Atid chief Yair Lapid makes this the most high-profile gathering of Israeli political figures in the UK for many years. We are delighted that the British Government will be represented by Middle East minister Tobias Ellwood.

Panel sessions will address:
– The Iranian Nuclear Programme
– The rise of ISIL and the collapse of Arab States
– Radicalisation
– The prospects for a two-state solution between Israel and the Palestinians
– Rising European anti-Semitism

There is no ticket price but this is a closed conference by invitation only.
